Can’t claim this is the cleanest The Mars Volta gig, but it’s the first (fairly certain) pro footage of them and it looks great. They are just going ballistic on stage. That pure manic energy is on full display, along with it the potential setbacks in had on the accuracy of the performance. That said, it is hard to want this bulldozer of force to turn itself down just so a few extra notes can be accurate. We get an interview as well where their signature quirky humor is on full display. They actually show Jeremy doing his magic too which was not common as he hid off stage. An astute eye may also notice Ikey is just sitting on a gear case….
