Notes
In Spring of 2011 The Mars Volta returned, only they were touring under the guise of the Omar Rodriguez-Lopez group for reasons not worth getting into here. For a brief run of shows the band began to debut the material that would be featured on Noctourniquet when it was released over a year later. Their show in Boston is incredibly powerful, with a relentless 25-minute Jacob Jam starting things off. The audio quality is a little rough (the NYC show the day before has a cleaner boot although the show is much worse), but the performance is worth straining your ears just a little bit.
