RJ’s Prospectors

Active since: 01/01/2009

Status: Inactive

RJ’s Prospectors was the name of Ralph Jasso’s short lived band.  Cedric Bixler Zavala and Juan Alderete played on demos which were uploaded to Myspace in 2009.  These recordings were never formally released.  Another band by the name OSO was announced and had the same line-up with one song released ‘ Delorean.’  It is uncertain if this is the same project.

The original description read:

“album out soon!!!
the songs you all are hearing are pre productions of the upcoming record me and my old time homie”babybix” are working on! chances are these songs my not make to the final cuts to be released soon! the other tracks we have been working on are being polished at the moment due to circumstances regarding”tape”..we are still recording on tape yall so back up!!plus the tape machine is an oldie from back in the seventys so youll know its got the fat tone when you hear it…the machine is at work right now in los angeles recording a session with a legendery 80s indie rocker!so we will have to wait a couple more weeks…but kids, tape is like a warm soft friend,it huggs you all around.
-RJ”

Cedric further commented at a later date:

“I made a record with Ralph Jasso, and it has yet to see the light of day. I think it’s technically 3 years old. I listen to it, and it breaks my heart. He is a beast, and this record is the beast’s gentle acoustic side. I played drums and helped arrange and write lyrics. He calls it RJ’s Prospectors which is really unfortunate cuz i think he forgot that there is a UTEP team with the same name. He needs to name it Ralphael Domique Jasso, I think Omar is going to put it out sometime.”
