The Mars Volta - Live in Tokyo, Japan

February 08th, 2005 @ Liquid Room

Notes

Another excellent performance in Japan, about year later than their last romp in the country.  This is the last Cicatriz ESP performed with Jon Theodore and one of the earliest (if not the first) live performances of Cygnus…. Vismund Cygnus. We also get a cracking rendition of the fan favorite ‘Helicopter Jam’ during Take the Veil Cerpin Taxt.  This show is an excellent capstone to the De-Loused era, a proper closing remark on how much they evolved in a very brief period of time.  This gig can be a little rough at times as there are a few curious mistakes, but hearing their recovery makes it all the more special.
