Bosnian Rainbows - Live in Pag, Croatia
August 09th, 2013 @ Big Yellow House
Notes
From the Comatorium:
“I just woke up after last nights gig in Novalja, Croatia (near famous party beach Zrće)
The gig started around 10:45 pm, there were like 100-150 people and it was private as hell.
I was surprised how the sound was clean and how simillar do they acutually sound compared to the record it self.
Teri was on fire, she was all over the place, Omar didn’t go wild at all (not even on Eli), but he had 2 or 3 nice guitar solos. I couldn’t take my eyes of Deantoni, who I saw the first time performing. Incredbile playing, incredible sounds, just wow.
After one hour they left the “stage”, but Nicci and Deantoni returned with their laptop and started to spin some music. Sounds like some mixtape or whatever.
While that was playing, around a hour, I got a chance to meet Deantoni and to talk to him.
He was so friendly, joyfull, funny and pleasant to talk to. I didn’t ask him any in particular questions, just some general chit-chat.
Unfortunatley, Omar didn’t come out to hang out, and neither did Terry.
But, after hour and a half, when it was time to pack the equipment the little virtuoso came out with his dorky glasses and started packing things up.
Since they were busy and kinda in a hurry, I didn’t have a chance to talk to him, just a qucik photo and a handshake Poor guy, he was so confused “

While differences in opinion are wider than the Grand Canyon when it comes to the output of this year, it is non-controversial to propose that none of it came close to what The Mars Volta had been con... read more
