The Mars Volta - Live in Tilburg, Netherlands
December 07th, 2009 @ 013
Setlist
Notes
I know Dave Elitch is not loved among the Volta faithful, but you can’t deny that he delivered a solid drumming performance with little to no prep time. He was faithful to Pridgen and Theodore’s work which is what was needed at that point. I really don’t hate his stint like most people as he was a stable and competent presence. The Cicatriz ESP jams are unique to him and this leg of the tour, very mellow and straight forward. You also get Miranda live which is pretty amazing.

Band members Adrián Terrazas-González and Paul Hinojos had also been removed from ... read more
