OMAR RODRIGUEZ LOPEZ OLD MONEY
Omar Rodriguez Lopez - The Power of Myth
Omar Rodriguez Lopez- Private Fortunes
The vinyl release came with an insert shaped like a 7”. This was Omar’s only release through Stones Throw. Old Money is the early workings of the follow-up to Amputechture, but was ultimately scrapped for The Bedlam in Goliath. Many songs contain components of jams that were performed live in 2005 and 2006. This was also the first recording of Deantoni Parks on an Omar release. This is also the last time Jon Theodore would be formally credited on an Omar release until the Ipecac series in 2016.
“Recorded in 2006, right after the first encounter with Deantoni Parks. This marks the starting point for the making of more and more solo albums.” – Clouds hill
